In your own words, how would you describe 'house call grooming' to someone who has never heard of it before?
House call grooming is when a professional groomer comes directly to your home to groom your pet, instead of you having to travel to a salon. Everything is done in a familiar, low-stress environment where your pet feels most comfortable. It’s a one-on-one experience with no cages, no other animals, and no long wait times—just personalized care tailored to your pet’s needs right in your own home. All we need from you is a place to bathe your pet whether it be a sick, shower or tub with a drop head shower, and one outlet for chargers and and blow dryer! You may supply towels, brooms, or a vacuum to clean up but that is optional to you!
What are the biggest advantages for a pet owner to choose house call grooming instead of going to a salon?
You don’t have to worry about loading your pet into the car, driving to a salon, or working around drop-off and pick-up times—it’s done right at your home. For pets, it’s a much less stressful experience since they stay in a familiar environment without loud noises, cages, or other animals. It’s also a one-on-one service, so your pet gets full attention the entire time, which often leads to a calmer, safer, and more personalized grooming experience. Best part? We just ask you to be home the first time so we know exactly how to make sure the pet looks how you want them! After that you don't even have to be home! We have you covered 😊
When you arrive for a house call grooming appointment, what should the pet owner expect to happen from start to finish?
From start to finish, house call grooming is designed to be simple and stress-free. Before your appointment you will be asked to fill out an intake form so we know your pet’s needs, behavior, and health history. Then you will receive one text message saying your appointment was booked, another 72 hours before your appointment to confirm. And then depending how fast you confirm the appointment will be how many text reminders you get😊 *appointment must be confirmed or groomer will not arrive* upon arrival, we’ll briefly go over the groom, assess your pet, and set up in a safe, workable area of your home.
What happens during the groom?
During the groom, your pet receives one-on-one attention the entire time—no cages, no waiting, and no other animals. Services typically include bathing, drying, brushing, haircut (if applicable), nail trimming, and ear cleaning, all done at your pet’s pace to keep them comfortable.
What happens after the groom?
Once finished, we’ll review how everything went, point out any concerns (skin, ears, nails, etc.), and make recommendations if needed. Then we clean up the grooming area to the best of our abilities so your home is left just as we found it—just with a freshly groomed, happy pet.
